I have a problem with the above statement. Mind you, my only complaint about Albert Finney’s performance is that he had a tendency to exaggerate Poirot’s Continental traits – like many British and American actors tend to do. This is something that both Peter Ustinov and David Suchet managed to avoid, due to the fact that both came from countries outside of Great Britain.

However, this complaint about Poirot’s interrogation methods does not hold water with me. He seemed to be utilizing different methods in order to deal with the different personalities of the suspects.
